MY 21ST BIRTHDAY!!

On April 1st, 1991....the most hard-headed, stubborn, overly-inspired, high dreaming, coffee addict, independent female blogger was born. Hahahaha that's me!
My birthday was over a month ago, but I've been very busy and haven't had as much time to blog as I have wanted to.
But anyway, my friends asked me what I wanted to do...even though it was my 21st birthday, I didn't want anything too crazy. Just a nice meal out with some close friends!...and maybe a drink, after all I am turning twenty-one, right? :)

As you read in my previous blog post, I love downtown Cincinnati! I'm becoming much more familiar with it, and know my way around decently well. We went to Via Vite, an Italian restaurant downtown on Fountain Square. And it was DELICIOUS!!!
We got a group photo at our table (thanks to our waiter!) We got a table right behind the bar area...haha but at least it made a cool background!
From Left to Right: Lauren, Hannah, Katie, Becky, Mella, Me, Stephanie, Hannah, Mariana, and Emily. Three other friends couldn't make it, but we still had a lot of fun!

My first drink. I can't remember the exact name of it (because it was Italian) but it was some sort of 'Grenadine Grapefruit' drink. It had cranberry juice and a little vodka mixed in. It was not very strong at all, but very sweet. It was in the form of a smoothie/slushy. And yes I drink pinkies up!!  :D And yes my friends forced me to wear a pink sparkly princess crown! Haha

My friend, Mariana and I split this dish....Rye bread with smoked tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on top, a fresh salad with a vinaigrette dressing, and (not pictured) a hot creamy vegetable soup with a poached egg. Mmmmmmm

Fountain Square is the center of Downtown Cincinnati. Obviously there's a fountain, plus lots of great places to eat, ice cream shops, Creative Art Centers, bars, and street musicians/performers. Such an exciting environment!
We took a few group pictures because everyone looked so cute in their city chic outfits! I love this picture (below) so much! I have the most incredible friends ever! Some of them didn't even know each other, but they got along so well! It was so nice to have my freshman roomie (who transferred) come, as well as fellow RAs, and some of the residents on my floor! It was enjoyable to just walk around downtown in our skirts and heels, chatting and laughing like all best friends do. Plus it was nice to just be with girls and no boys!

We stopped at Graeters Ice cream and I got this fudge brownie sundae with Black Raspberry Chip ice cream! Yummmm

And one last group photo before we left...Yes all EIGHT of us fit into my camera frame!! Hahahaha I love this....just some crazy girls being crazy! :) And yes, Stephanie is wearing my birthday crown...it started to hurt my head so I took it off and put it in my purse, but it got glitter everywhere, so Stephanie offered to "carry" it for me!

I had an amazing birthday! I got to spend the entire day with my closest girlfriends, feeling like a princess, and eating the most delicious and expensive food I've had in a long while! My friends treated me like a star, buying my meal, drink, ice cream, and hanging out with me all day! I spent the following weekend at home with my family and church friends, getting a surprise birthday party, complete with a chocolate fountain and gifts!

Yes, yes, yesss I know I am a very blessed girl!!
Peace.
