I know this post is super duper long. And i don't exactly have any pictures....yet. But I think it should be worth your while to read it.

Okay. I seriously have the best friends in the entire world. Truth. They are always there for me...emotionally and physically. Whenever I need something, they are right there. Always. They are seriously the best, and I can't stress that enough. This story is nothing but me bragging about how amazing my friends are....Here goes....

Okay, story time. Long story. Kinda. But I'll make it as short as I can.

My dorm room + Bug problem = a very grumpy Bethany

Like I said, it's a long story. Let me try to explain....So there is this crack in the corner of my wall (it's always been there) but one day last week I saw a couple bugs coming/going out of the crack....A few phone calls and one exterminator visit later they are kicking me out of my dorm room because apparently a bunch of bugs made a home in the crack in my wall, and it wasn't sanitary for me to stay in my room any longer  >:(

It was all a very stressful week, and it was so much stress that I did NOT need added to my plate. I was feeling anxious and depressed about it all week. It was difficult to not be able to go into my room for a few days while the exterminators were there, plus I was so grossed out that I had no desire to go into my room EVER again. Ewwwwww

Anyway, I spent the entire week cleaning all of my belongings, bagging them up in seal tight containers, and moving 3 doors down the hallway. Once I got all 8 garbage bags, 6 seal tight tubs, 9 boxes, and 2 laundry baskets full of all my STUFF transfered over to my clean, bug-free room I was way too exhausted to unpack it all. Seriously. It took me sooooooo long to clean everything, wash all my clothes, and pack them all up, I was wayyyy too exhausted to unpack anything....so for two days, I lived out of garbage bags and storage bins.

Anyway, a few of my girlfriends offered to help me move and get settled into my room, but I politely declined their offers, and told them I could get it taken care of myself. (Because I'm a stubborn self-sufficient chick who can take care of her own problems ;)). They shrugged, said okay, and went on with their lives.

My guy friend Aaron, who is an RA with me heard about my bug situation and stopped by to see my new room on Saturday afternoon. I told him the entire story, and why I needed to get a new room. As he looked around my room and saw all my bags and boxes he asked....

Aaron: Do you need help unpacking?
Me: No, I will be fine, but thanks. (same thing I told my girlfriends)
Aaron: Are you sure, Bethany? (in a concerning voice)
I reassured him that I'd be perfectly fine with getting settled in. And he replied with something along the lines of me being very stubborn. haha which is so true!!

After I told him the whole story of the bug situation and how frustrating it was for me, he asked....

Aaron: Do you need a drink?
Me: Haha, no I need a whole bottle of wine! (sarcastic)
Aaron: Red or white?
Me: Oh no I was just kidding!
Aaron: Seriously, which do you like better?
Me: *shrug* I like both.

After our conversation, I left for work for the day. Six hours later, I come back to campus and I see him sitting on the couch as I walked into the lobby. We said hello, and he started walking with me up to the dorms. I got to my room, walked through the door, and I stopped dead in my tracks. Something was different in my room....The gigantic pile of bags and stacks of boxes was strangely smaller. I looked at the walls, and noticed all my posters were hung up, and my bed was made, and there were crates of books and supplies under my bed. I stood there, looking around very confused. Aaron stood behind me in the doorway and said...

Aaron: I hope you don't mind, but I keyed into your room and started unpacking for you. Your sweatshirts are in this drawer, your jeans are in this drawer, and your tshirts are in this drawer. I um...stayed away from your....cough...undergarments. I knew you would be really tired after work and probably wouldn't want to unpack, so I figured I'd help you out a little bit. Oh and I got you something.....

I turned to see two bottles of wine sitting on my counter...one red and one white. They were sitting next to a note that said "Hey Gerbs, I know the past week or so has been stressful. Here's a little something from a friend, for a friend. For someone who is a wonderful person and always willing to lend a hand." -Aaron

I was completely speechless as I turned in circles around my room seeing a majority of my things put away. I stood there dumbfounded. I could barely make out a few words.

Me: You.....you.......you unpacked my stuff?
Aaron: Well, some of it. You had too many shoes that I didn't know what to do with all of them.
Me: YOU WORKED ON CLEANING MY ROOM?! YOU POOR THING!! HOW MUCH TIME DID YOU SPEND IN HERE?!
Aaron:.....a couple hours. You were too stubborn to let me help you, so I just helped you without asking.
Me: ...........

I was so incredibly speechless. What kind of person spends their free afternoon slaving away unpacking someone else's crap, AND goes wine shopping for them?! Apparently Aaron does. It just amazes me that he would care enough about me to be so kind to unpack my stuff. Even my girlfriends didn't go to that extent to help me, and HE did. I have to admit...I don't think I'd even do that for someone....maybe one of my girlfriends, but probably not for a guy friend. I was so impressed by his kindness, and I'm so happy to have him for a friend! Wow. I am truly blessed by my friends. They care so much about me, and I'm so thankful for each and every one of them! Especially the ones who clean my room and buy me wine! Told you I have awesome friends! :)

Peace Out.
