Nordstrom

You always hear horror stories about the people who work in retail. You know, because customers are really rude, and you get the long crappy hours, and really low pay and all that jazz.

Welp. I have a job. A retail job. Yay, right?

I braced myself for the worst, but to be honest, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Not bad at all. In fact, it's actually kinda great!

I am an official employee of Nordstrom!
I'm only part time, but it's nice to have some days off throughout the week. My boss is hilarious and cracks the best jokes, my co-workers are super nice and great to work with, I get paid well (shocker), and I get an employee discount. Which may or may not be dangerous. :)

I am stationed in the shoe department. Nordstrom used to be nothing but a shoe store, but over the years it branched out and sells more things now, but their shoe department is HUGE. I stay busy filling the empty slots, talking with customers, and checking prices and sizes. It may sound boring or weird, but I enjoy it because I'm constantly moving, which makes the day go by very fast.

We just started wearing special tshirts. I liked being able to wear whatever I wanted, but in a way it's nice because customers can find us easier, plus i don't have to make wardrobe decisions every morning!

On weekends, we get to wear jeans to work! Yay! And i thought my polka-dotted sneakers went well with my polka-dotted tshirt. :)

I'm just thankful that I actually like my job. Some people have jobs that they hate, which would stink. But I enjoy going to work and like almost everything about it! (especially my employee discount!)

Have a great day everyone!
